Username Rules

Before you head into the app, keep these naming conventions in mind to ensure your preferred tag is valid:

Unique Identity: No two users can have the same tag and an account can only claim one tag. Once a tag is claimed, it’s yours.
Character Count: Your tag must be a minimum of 3 characters and a maximum of 30 characters.
Start Strong: Finna tags are alphanumeric but must begin with a letter (A-Z).
Formatting: We support underscores (_), allowing you to create clean handles like @stable_man or @crypto_king
No KYC Required: You can claim your identity immediately upon joining. You don’t need to complete full verification just to reserve your unique handle.

How to Claim Your Finna Tag

Follow these steps to claim your handle in less than 30secs.

Step 1 → Open the Finna App

Ensure you are logged into your account. If you haven’t downloaded the app yet, visit our official website or if you prefer a mobile experience, visit the App store for iOS or Play store for Android to download the app.

ℹ️ If you have a new account, you’ll be required to fill in some personal information before you proceed to the main wallet.

Step 2 → Navigate to Settings

Locate the Settings icon stationed at the bottom right of the app, just besides loan. This is the command panel for your Finna experience.

Step 3 → Set Finna Username

Within the settings menu, you will see an “Update your username” in the first section where you have your name. Click to open the naming field. You can also create username within the profile section.

Step 4 → Choose Your Handle

Type in your desired username. The system will automatically check for availability & validity. If your first choice is taken, try adding an underscore or a creative variation.

Step 5 → Confirm and Save

Once you’ve found the perfect handle that meets the 3–30 character requirement, hit Save.

Congratulations! 🎉

You are now reachable via your @handle. You can now tell friends to “Just Finna it to @YourTag” for instant, hassle-free transfers.
